About
Citizens for
a Canadian Republic
Citizens for
a Canadian Republic, a
non-partisan, not-for-profit Canadian corporation,
believes it is time for Canada to become a parliamentary
republic with a resident, democratically selected Canadian as
head of state, instead of a non-resident, hereditary monarch.
We believe this goal can be
achieved without compromising our heritage, parliamentary
traditions or our membership in the Commonwealth, where most
nations are already republics.
